Beyond Accessible Canada Act/Americans with Disabilities Act Minimums
This workshop explains the minimums set out in the ACA/ADA (depending on region), expectations of employers, contractors, governments, and other institutions, and the rights enshrined in the legislation. We also cover the basics of disability culture, language, and activism. This is a beginner workshop for people still working through their discomfort with disability.

Reimagining Care: Disability & the Caring Professions
This workshop explores the complex relation between the “caring” professions and disabled community. Discussing the inherent violence in coerced care, the workshop describes the charted experiences of disability within nursing, social work, medicine, and other care practices. With a distinct historical consciousness, the workshop drives at the heart of what we hold to be “care” in our society.

Crip Learning Design
Using crip ethics and tools like Universal Design for Learning, this workshop trains educators on how to practice radical access mongering, advancing beyond the minimums stated in legislation to provide meaningful access for all students. With a justice-oriented approach, the workshop gives educators of all levels tools to access hack their way through institutional barriers for and with their students.
