I ask to be referred to by my whole name: Hannah Sullivan Facknitz.

My middle name is often erased, but represents a maternal lineage of women who endured extreme violence to give me life today. Going by my complete name is a means of honouring matriarchal gifts in a patriarchal society. They are of me, in me, and always part of my story.
